    • Umpqua Dunes – Dellenback Trail

    This is a 6-mile (round-trip) hike across a dune expanse to the ocean and back. The Dellenback Dunes are the widest stretch of dunes on the Oregon Coast and exhibit some excellent examples of this landscape. This trip is exploratory for the trip leader.

    Tahkenitch Dunes Loop

    A 6.5-mile hike with huge sand dunes, a secluded ocean beach, and a return route through the forest passing a 3-mile-long lake.

    Blanton Ridge to Spencer Butte

    Activity: Hike

    We will start on time at 6:45 am. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time. This hike to the top of Spencer Butte takes the less traveled route from Blanton Road.

    Twin Peaks

    Activity: Hike

    Leader: Brenda Kameenui

    Twin Peaks--a beautiful autumn hike through quiet woods. Gradual climb on a little-traveled trail until a steep climb the last half-mile through soft pumice soil. Distance (6.5 miles RT) makes this a "moderate" hike, elevation gain (1600 feet) makes it "difficult." Come along!

    Amazon Hdwtrs/Spencer Butte

    NOTE: Flexible departure time from 7:45 to 8:00.
    We do this hike from the Martin Street Trailhead to the summit of Spencer Butte every Wednesday. Compared to starting at the paved Spencer Butte parking lot, this hike has double the climbing and three times the distance.
