Blanton Ridge to Spencer Butte

We will start on time at 6:45 am. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time. This hike to the top of Spencer Butte takes the less traveled route from Blanton Road. We'll cross Blanton Ridge before continuing on from the 52nd and Willamette trailhead. And then to the Spencer Butte summit.

We do this hike from the Martin Street Trailhead to the summit of Spencer Butte every Wednesday. Compared to starting at the paved Spencer Butte parking lot, this hike has double the climbing and three times the distance.

Get Acquainted/Ribbon Trail

Meet at the Obsidian Lodge to start the hike on the Ribbon Trail to Hendricks Park and back. This is an opportunity to find out about the Obsidians, get acquainted with members, and visit our lodge.

Camp Fontana-Mt Baker, WA

Summer Camp for 2024 will be held at the Silver Lake State Park group campground near Maple Falls, WA and Mt Baker.  A booklet with lots of information will be available to registrants at the May 31 potluck. Cost for Summer Camp will be $270 for members and $310 for non-members

Alton Baker Park Pre’s Trail

Activity: Hike

Leader: Lisa Van Liefde

Meet at the Campbell Center parking area, to the west of the building by 5:50 pm for a 6pm departure.

Our route will keep us near the river, going into Alton Baker park by way of crossing the DeFazio bridge, then hug the river until we loop around the Duck Pond, then crossing the river again via the Frohnmayer bridge, and back to the parking lot.
