We do this hike from the Martin Street Trailhead to the summit of Spencer Butte every Wednesday. Compared to starting at the paved Spencer Butte parking lot, this hike has double the climbing and three times the distance.

Kentucky Falls with shuttle

Hike from Kentucky Falls TH to North Fork Smith River TH in the Siuslaw NF. Car shuttle for one-way downhill route.
the trail is 9.5 miles by our calculation, although the signs say 8.5 miles. Signage is otherwise accurate. Many mushrooms on this trip, and Darko and Angie filled one bag with Lobsters and another with Chanterelles.
Beautiful cool sunny day, and magnificent old growth forest.

Blanton Ridge to Spencer Butte

We will start on time at 6:45 am. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time. This hike to the top of Spencer Butte takes the less traveled route from Blanton Road. We'll cross Blanton Ridge before continuing on from the 52nd and Willamette trailhead. And then to the Spencer Butte summit.
