This is a 6-mile (round-trip) hike across a dune expanse to the ocean and back. The Dellenback Dunes are the widest stretch of dunes on the Oregon Coast and exhibit some excellent examples of this landscape. This trip is exploratory for the trip leader. |

Twin Peaks--a beautiful autumn hike through quiet woods. Gradual climb on a little-traveled trail until a steep climb the last half-mile through soft pumice soil. Distance (6.5 miles RT) makes this a "moderate" hike, elevation gain (1600 feet) makes it "difficult." Come along!

Lana Lindstrom and Richard Hughes recently rode their bikes on the Great Allegheny Passage and the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Trail, a 330-mile traffic-free route from Pittsburg, PA, to Washington, DC. Sue Zeni did a similar trip last year. They accomplished the route through two different experiences – one used a company to transport luggage and make the lodging and restaurant arrangements; the other was done as a self-supported camping trip. |
